We always knew that today was always going to be the hardest day, and it absolutely lived up to its name.
We started at 5.45am to avoid the heat which was the main issue on Day 1. The run by the Mekong was spectacular, and once again there was no shortage of school children cheering us on our way!
While yesterday was blister-free, today was a different story. I was expecting just 1 nurse to turn up, but in the end there was a team of 3, all very excited about filming some gory blister and toenail scenes! They certainly got what they were after..
Tomorrow is Day 3 and hopefully it’ll be a slightly more manageable 42kms as we make steady progress to our destination of Siem Reap. After today, the finish line suddenly seems slightly closer…
