Day 3 of Cambodia Run 2019

I woke up this morning a bit sore from yesterday, but I looked forward to the day ahead. Day 3 was the first time that we headed inland and away from the Mekong.

The scenery was amazing, and the main roads are gone so it feels like you are in rural Cambodia. Life seems to move a bit more slowly here too.

I found it tough during the first 20 KMS today, but I managed to get going and enjoyed the day’s run. As always, running past the schools and hearing the kids cheer you on brings a big smile to your face.

I’m also getting excited as I will see my wife and 2 kids in a few days. But in the meantime, I will keep my head down and keep running. 😁

We stopped by a small village to buy an icy drink and take a short break.
