As much as it was nice to get through Day 1, I was really nervous about today as it’s our longest day – which ended up being 65 KMS instead of the planned 63 KMS.
We decided to start early to escape the midday heat, and it was stunning to be out there running early. The views over the Mekong were beautiful, and at that time, I needed to pinch myself to see if I was dreaming…
As expected, today’s run was hard work, but I’m over the moon that it’s done and I’m looking forward to day 3 tomorrow. The scenery gets better from here, so myself and the guys are really excited about hitting more trails and taking in the views.
I’m shattered so off to bed, but I will report back tomorrow.
